We've been doing some major sleepy time transition in this house. That being said there isn't much sleeping going on. Yawn.
Aiden has officially moved to his big boy bed as he began climbing out of his crib on a regular basis. I know most 3.5 year olds are already in a big bed BUT Aiden doesn't handle transition well, especially in regards to sleep. So we left him where he was comfortable, and where he willingly stayed put, for as long as possible.
Now he skips naps, cries most of the afternoon, and continually has to be redirected to bed for hours each night. Sigh. Once he is asleep it's all good, and for that I am grateful. The newness will soon wear off, summer playtime will wear him out, and hopefully bedtime will become peaceful once again.
Emma Grace. Where to start? We've been cosleeping with little miss, but she started getting too restless and no one was sleeping any more. It was such a beautiful chapter in our journey with her, and I miss my little snuggle bug, but it was time for her to be on her own.
She doesn't always agree with our decision ;) but as in all transitions it seems to be a dance of one step forward two steps back. The time change and a wicked case of teething pains hasn't helped either!
So we are all a little tired as we attempt to settle into our new routines. Cranky and tired. Sometimes we even fall asleep where we shouldn't!
