We said good bye to our sweet minivan. It was a bit bittersweet. Let me get nostalgic for a moment as it seems to me almost like the end of a fairly significant chapter in our life as a family.
This was our traveling van. In it we packed "all our possessions" and set out on the adventure of traveling nursing. That adventure was cut short when we unexpectedly found ourselves defying medical odds and pregnant with our sweet Emma Grace. The traveling van became the expanded family van, no less adventure I guarantee.
Then 18 months after we bought it, it died.
We were so grateful to have my parents old van on hand, after the power steering was fixed Momma could drive too! This old ride dropped me off at college freshman year and is still kicking! Based on Shems 14 hour work days and many other factors it soon became clear that despite our desires we simply couldn't remain a one car family.
We are the proud new owners of a 2004 Acura MDX. While its no minivan we are enjoying sporting around town in our SUV. Don't worry, it has a third row, just in case!
