No rest for the weary :)
We have struggled with Aiden over the last few months with night-time sleep. We transitioned him to his room and got over that hump at around 4 months, and enjoyed several weeks of "all night" sleeping. Then he started pooping in the middle of the night, well that kind of diaper change wakes a kid up. We remedied that with early morning prunes just in time for a couple of good nights sleep before the teething started! We are now the proud owner of two beautiful bottom teeth which only took us a MONTH to cut. I am not exaggerating, they sat visible for a month before fully breaking through!!! He settled into a good sleep pattern for a few days only to start his 3-5 awake time all over again. Here we have sat for the last week or so wondering what in the world it would take to get back into the swing of things. Low and behold during a nice fit he was throwing this afternoon he reared back his head to reveal the raisin sized swollen top gums. There is one tooth clearly evident but not quite through, complete with split gums that look dreadful. The other one is just a menacing bulge of what is to come. Now don't think I am a bad Momma for not seeing the obvious means of his discomfort, that mouth is locked up tight like a vault. He doesn't let you in there for ANYTHING! So we find that there is no rest for the weary and we shall go directly from one tooth to another. Maybe we will sleep again someday, like when he moves out!
