A reflux update!

We switched Emma Grace from the ineffective Zantac to Prevacid about two weeks ago. Night and day difference! She still has to be held most of the afternoon and evening but is much more content than the old days of holding for 12 hours and still screaming! This Momma has never been so grateful.

We still have projectile vomit as the medicine clears up the pain and burn but not the reflux itself. We do LOTS of laundry around here, and take lots of baths too!

It is incredibly difficult to get out and about as she is a difficult nurser and then must be held very still for about thirty minutes to ensure she keeps it down. If not, you get to start all over again! So we are sticking close to home and our constant supply of new clothes and blankets :)

This morning it took us two hours, one bath, and three attempts at breakfast. It can be exhausting, but in the end a HAPPY sleeping baby is the sweet reward. It's so very worth it!
