25 Weeks down, 15 to go. YIKES.
I feel like we have done nothing to prepare for this sweet girl. Obviously the second is "easier" in that respect. We have just enough parenting experience to know that we don't have to have everything Babies R Us carries and if we don't have it by the time she arrives, we will still survive. A car seat is the only mandatory, the rest can happen along the way. That is NOT to say I am going to put everything off, but just to calm myself down when I realize how fast our little time left will go.
We have one big thing accomplished. She finally has a name!!!
Names are big stuff in this little house, and a decision that is not taken lightly. Naming this little girl has been more difficult than I could have ever imagined. So many factors played a role, so many things discussed, and yet we returned to our first love in the end.
Over SIX years ago sitting around the Freeze's living room, before we were even married, little girl found her name. Little did we know the path that we would walk to get to her.
EMMA GRACE you are a miracle and you are so very loved!!!
Six years ago as we dreamed of our future children we realized that we both had Great Grandma's named Emma, and we think that is pretty special. Two ladies whom you will never meet, yet who helped form the threads of this family's history.
Emma Grace, we can't wait to meet you (in 15 weeks)!
