"You never let go"

I have been very conscious of the suffering around me in the last few months. Walking through some difficult valleys myself I am very aware that I am surrounded by suffering people. Somehow as believers we seem to be of two different make ups. Those who loudly proclaim our suffering to anyone who will listen, and those who silently suffer and no one knows. I try to remember that the person on my right or left might seem just fine, but they might be hurting deeply inside.

If you have lived very long you have gone through hardship. You can look around you and see suffering of every level in those near you, and all around the world. Life on this earth isn't easy.

However, if you are a believer, there are several promises you can hold close. God has promised we can do ALL things within His strength(Philippians 4:13), and he has promised us He will always be with us (Hebrews 13:5). That doesn't always make it easy, but does offer hope. I was walking through one of those dark valleys in life when the song "You never let go" by Matt Redman came out. We sang it Sunday and it was a good reminder.
