I also know that if we are not intentional about each other we will get lost in the shuffle of life with a toddler.
My sweet husband works 12+ hour shifts as a nurse. He has also picked up a second job working at another hospital so that we can make ends meet while I stay home with our sweet son. This makes date night next to impossible. Finding time in his schedule to plan a night out, it just isn't happening despite the best of intentions.
So we are revamping date night.
Sunday was our first "date night" and it was awesome. After church we threw the baby into bed, ok not really. After our normal night time routine we popped in a "second dinner" just because we could, and simply spent time together.
Real grownups eat pizza rolls late at night, especially grownups with lactose intolerant kids. Oh and those microwave pie things...nasty!
Sweet wives listen to their husbands explain "new" technology, this wife should do it more often. Maybe next week we will watch a chick flick ;)
No it may not be ideal, but it is intentional, and for now it works.
