We started at 6am, which is EARLY for this little house. We lasted about 15 minutes before the scream fest began, and it has yet to cease. He is doing every thing he can to disobey every rule. We don't have an insane amount of rules around here, we have baby proofed extensively to allow for freedom and sanity, and generally he is a good little guy and we have no problems.
Today is a huge exception.
I have emptied out the entertainment center...
Don't think that stopped him though. First, second, and third he tried to drag kitchen chairs into the living room so he could reach all the things I have temporarily stashed on the bar. The chairs are now baby gated in the kitchen and he has no access. Next he attempted to take his tiny snack cup and use it as a stool. This was both unstable and did not give him the height he desired. Attempt five, six, and seven were sneaking chairs in the split seconds Mommy has opened the kitchen. Then he got "smart" and pulled the diaper caddy over and scaled it. This however rendered him "stuck" afraid to go up and afraid to go down...
The diaper caddy is now living in the off limits kitchen as well.
Let us not forget the refusal to eat, the misdirected anger at toys, hitting Mommy for the first time...oh the list goes on and on. I am so very grateful that these days are by far an exception. Oh, and just in case I forget, tomorrow is a new day!!!
As I type he is standing in a toy car and has reached a case of DVD's on the off limits bar. The car is about to go live in the kitchen as well...excuse me please.
