It swung wide and didn't really impact us directly. We watched the moderate wind and rain as our power surged and flickered but thankfully stayed on. In that way we are one of the lucky ones. We discovered on our attempt to go to the organic grocery for a few things that others weren't so lucky. There are 107,000 people in CT without power, and CT is little. We actually live on the "riverfront" though you have to drive down past the pool a bit and look really close just to see the riverbank itself. Yesterday you couldn't even drive past the pool as the river had surged its banks and had filled the "ravine" area and the parking lot. The waters are supposed to continue rising today.
So what does one do with a toddler when anticipating a large storm? We stayed in our pj's opened the blinds and had a great day just playing together of course!
We ate spicy chicken pizza (Momma didn't know)!
We played ball with Dadda!!!
We broke out the snacks...
Eeyore even got a taste!
Dadda learned that having a helper can be quite a challenge. Hehe :)
Sounds like y'all had the same result that we did ... thank goodness! We had a lovely day inside, too, filled with lots of food and cuddles. :)
