As you can see from the picture taken from my babies window we live in close proximity to our local apartment dumpster. Herein lies our problem.
For most small children the excitement of a loud truck, banging dumpster lids, audaciously loud crash landing, and blaring back up alarm would be quite the thrill. Perhaps if done during business hours?
For you see this particular dumpster is picked up at either 3am or 5:45 am. Even the heaviest of sleepers could not sleep through the ear shattering racket caused by said pickup. A 3am pickup affords us a baby so frightened he struggles to return to sleep. A 5:45 am pickup causes him to think it is time to be up for the day. If you have ever had small children you will understand the difficulty of both scenarios.
Might I suggest normal business hours, or perhaps between 9-12 or even 3-7? This would allow the local community to sleep normally, and small children to nap. Businesses not located near housing could more easily afford the early hour pickups if schedules need to be adjusted to accommodate our large city.
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
One very tired Momma
